I don’t even collect that much anymore.

That is the part that makes this dangerous.

I can walk past shelves full of figures, statues, Funko Pops and whatever else the collector-industrial complex has decided I desperately need this week and usually keep my wallet in my pocket.

Alien is different.

I grew up on that universe. I used to have binders stuffed with old Dark Horse Alien and Predator comics, Colonial Marines shit, crossover books, weird variants, all of it. Xenomorphs, Predators, pulse rifles, Weyland-Yutani corporate stupidity — that whole grimy universe has been living rent-free in my brain for most of my life.

Then Marvel got its hooks into me too.

So imagine me casually scrolling and stumbling onto an ASMR unboxing of Miles Morales wearing a white symbiote suit that has basically eaten a Facehugger and become some Spider-Man/Xenomorph nightmare hybrid.

What the fuck am I supposed to do with that information?

Apparently the answer is start pricing one out.

So What the Hell Is This Thing?

The figure is the Hot Toys CMS027 Miles Morales (Aliens Vs. Avengers Suit) Sixth Scale Collectible Figure.

And no, somebody at Hot Toys did not just glue an Alien head onto Spider-Man and call it lunch.

This thing is based on Miles’ appearance in Marvel’s Aliens Vs. Avengers crossover by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić.

The comic itself is a four-issue limited series, and the premise is exactly the kind of beautiful nonsense comics exist for: Xenomorphs spread across a future Marvel universe and Earth’s remaining heroes have to deal with the perfect organism showing up on a planet already full of superhumans.

Miles gets one of the wildest designs out of the whole collision.

Mild comic spoiler here

A Facehugger gets on Miles, except his suit is already a symbiote. Instead of Miles becoming breakfast for a Chestburster, the symbiote absorbs the alien organism and mutates into this bizarre white-and-black hybrid suit.

That is the suit Hot Toys turned into CMS027.

And it looks absolutely disgusting.

I mean that as a compliment.

The Details Are What Got Me

Hot Toys made this as a 1/6-scale figure, roughly 11.6 inches / 29.5 cm tall, with 30 points of articulation.

The suit is a pearlescent white elastic material with black Facehugger-shaped symbiote patterns spreading over Miles’ body. It looks clean from a distance and increasingly fucked up the closer you look at it, which is pretty much exactly what an Alien crossover should do.

You get three pairs of interchangeable eye pieces and eight interchangeable hands for relaxed poses, open gestures, web shooting and web holding.

Then Hot Toys starts getting irresponsible.

There are six web effects.

There is a magnetic dark-pink Spider emblem.

There is a symbiote-bonded Facehugger accessory with bendable wire.

And the display base is littered with Xenomorph remains.

That last part is where my internal responsible adult quietly left the room.

This is not just Miles wearing a funny alternate costume. The whole display actually sells the collision between the Marvel and Alien universes.

And They Only Made 1,500 of Them

Because apparently $285 was not enough pressure.

Hot Toys and Sideshow list CMS027 as a limited edition of 1,500 pieces in selected markets.

That matters right now because the official Sideshow product page is already showing the figure as Currently Unavailable.

The original Sideshow price was $285.

So naturally the secondary market has begun doing what the secondary market does whenever human beings are told there are only 1,500 of something.

Become annoying.

Where Can You Buy Hot Toys CMS027 Right Now?

1. Sideshow — Check Here First

Sideshow is the official U.S.-friendly place I would check first.

At the time I’m writing this, their CMS027 page is marked Not Available / Currently Unavailable, but it still has the product page and wishlist option.

If more stock appears, that is where I would rather buy it than immediately feeding a reseller markup.

Original Sideshow price: $285.

2. Pop Collectibles — Currently Showing In Stock

Pop Collectibles currently has CMS027 listed as an in-stock item and says in-stock orders normally ship within two to three working days.

That gives you another actual retailer route instead of immediately wandering into eBay with your wallet exposed.

As always with an overseas collectible retailer, check the final shipped total, payment terms and import situation before committing.

3. eBay — Available, But The Alien Has Learned Capitalism

New CMS027 listings I found are currently sitting roughly in the high-$300s into the low-$400s, with examples around $378, $394, $415 and $425 depending on seller and shipping.

That does not automatically make them bad buys. This is a limited 1,500-piece Hot Toys release and the official Sideshow inventory is already unavailable.

But check seller history, where it ships from, return terms and total delivered price before smashing Buy It Now because the Facehugger whispered sweet nothings to you.

If You Haven’t Read Aliens Vs. Avengers Yet, Start There for Twenty Bucks

Here is the much less financially irresponsible option.

The collected Aliens Vs. Avengers paperback puts issues #1-4 together in one volume. MSRP is $19.99, and I found Midtown Comics listing it at $15.99 when I checked.

Honestly, I’m grabbing the book regardless.

The idea alone hits basically every stupid little button in my brain: Alien horror, Xenomorph biology, Marvel superheroes, cosmic bullshit, older battle-worn characters and Hickman being allowed to smash two enormous toyboxes together.

The figure just turns that crossover into something I can put on a shelf and stare at like an idiot.

Why This One Actually Has Me

There are plenty of expensive figures that look incredible and still do absolutely nothing to me.

This is different because it lands directly at the intersection of two fandoms I have had for years.

Alien was there first.

Before MCU phases. Before streaming universes. Before half the internet became a cinematic-universe flowchart.

I was collecting old Dark Horse Alien and Predator books, Colonial Marines stuff and anything else that let me spend a few more pages in that filthy industrial nightmare.

Then Marvel became another giant piece of my entertainment DNA.

And now somebody decided Miles Morales needed a symbiote that absorbs a Facehugger and stands on top of dead Xenomorph pieces.

That is obnoxiously specific to my interests.

I hate how much I want it.

MazHatterIX Take

Do I need a $285-plus Hot Toys figure?

Absolutely not.

That has never once been how collectibles work.

Do I want this particular one sitting somewhere near my setup looking like Spider-Man escaped an HR Giger fever dream?

Unfortunately, very fucking much.

If Sideshow restocks it anywhere near the original $285, this gets considerably harder to ignore. Once we are talking $400-plus secondary pricing, I have to start pretending I am a financially mature adult again.

For now, I’m watching the official page, checking reputable inventory, and ordering the comic because apparently discovering this figure also reminded me that Aliens Vs. Avengers exists and I somehow allowed life to distract me from reading it.

Humanity has made plenty of questionable crossover decisions.

This one can stay.
