Why Security Breach has Reddit arguing
The October 8 update moved Security Breach into Conditioning. Players who previously combined it with Survival abilities must rethink their paths. Reddit users are divided: some dislike the move, while others welcome a tree where each choice actually costs something. See the original discussion.
What’s good about the update?
Players are enjoying Pendola Pass, fresh ARC enemies, weapon amplification, new Outpost progression, and the ability to grapple through the environment. The October 9 first-impressions thread has positive reactions but also complaints about stamina and servers. Both deserve attention: day-one excitement isn’t the same as proof that every system works perfectly.
Where to spend points first
For a player who fights, loots and runs solo, prioritize sustainable movement before deep specialization. Mobility gets you out of bad engagements. Conditioning is now worth examining for Security Breach and hauling. Survival is a good home for players who want to craft and haul resources. One provisional 75-point split worth experimenting with is 35 Mobility, 25 Conditioning and 15 Survival. Do not treat this as a validated optimized build: prerequisite paths and total point availability matter. Test allocations using the MetaForge builder and ARC Raiders Hub.
The verdict
The best thing about Frozen Trail might be that players finally have fresh reasons to argue, experiment and head topside.
